Creatiff Hotness: The Best Darn Brady Bunch Remix EVAH- Craig Lewis

I received this YouTube clip a few days ago from one of the members of the Music Informant Crew, Danna. I'm speechless. Music and dancing are the stimulants I use to get lifted, and I am in space right now. This version of the Brady Bunch song is ......I'm still trying find a word. I know Jamie Foxx did a sweet version of it too, but these guys just took it to another level. I noticed they have a ton of views on this YouTube video, so maybe some of you have seen this, but I'm not tired of watching it, so please watch it again as I walk around the moon with my Ipod.

Special request: If you all come across any videos of hot artists such as these dudes, please send them to me so I can stay on my tippy toes. I feel like I am so late knowing about these cats. Keep rockin' fellas.

Black Music Month- CREATIFF ARTIST: CHAZ

Tune in to The Steve Harvey Morning show at 9am TODAY to hear R&B Artist/Actor, Chaz perform songs live from his soon to be released cd, "The First One". Chaz has made his mark in the acting world in some of everyone's favorite movies and television shows, including Set It Off, The Temptations, The Game, The Parkers, 7th Heaven, and Steve Harvey's Me & The Boys. Chaz most recently burned a hole in the stage in the Broadway production of The Color Purple, in his impressive role as Harpo.

I'm listening to the Steve Harvey Morning show online now, as if I'm an East Coaster; I should be sleeping but this chil' is so dope I thought it was important enough to post a blog and risk having bags under my eyes.

A long time coming for this crooner. Our ears and soul need his movement, so don't get left behind.

West Coasters, when you're riding in your car-sitting in traffic- burning $5 dollar gas, make sure you tune in to the Steve Harvey Morning show.

Ladies, Chaz has the kinda music that can makes us feel pretty special or pretty & special. :)

Michelle Obama Co-Host on The View-TODAY

Michelle Obama will be heading to daytime TV in June when she appears on "The View."

The popular ABC daytime talk show had invited her to be a guest this month, but she sent back word that she would like to be a host like Cindy McCain did in April, said Bill Geddie, the show's executive producer.

"Equal time -- that's hard to argue with," he said Wednesday.

Being a guest host will allow Michelle Obama to help interview guests and participate in the opening "hot topics," or banter about what's in the news that day. It offers the chance for someone to show a more complete personality than just sitting for an interview and talking about themselves, Geddie said.

No Stress For Game 6- Stephen A. Smith- YOU WERE WRONG

Thank goodness I remained stress free throughout these NBA Finals! I really enjoyed watching the games with my family. My mother was probably the most "off the chain" Lakers fan; inserting prayer requests during every time out. The Lakers got smashed and the Celtics didn't get caught up in having a lead, they played until the last 4.4 seconds of the game. I am so not trying to beat the Lakers while they're down, but I kept asking myself, "what's goin' on here, what am I watching?" My 6 year old nephew plays for a junior Lakers squad and I enjoy going to their games because the kids look so cute, their confusion on the court, their mistakes, their fouls are all cute. That's how the Lakers looked to me-minus the cute part.

My man, ESPN Sports Analyst, Stephen A. Smith was wrong in his prediction of the Lakers sealing the deal as the Finals Champs. I posted a link to his Playoffs predictions a few months ago. I always love what Stephen has to say. Most of the time he's so on point; he wasn't expecting this outcome.

As for the playoffs, I still expect the Lakers to win it all. I haven't decided yet, though, whether it'll be Boston or Detroit coming out of the East. I'd love for it to be Boston, but I can't help but have my doubts based on how the Celtics were exposed by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round. That series went 7 games because Boston couldn't deal with Atlanta's athleticism, nor could Boston defend well off the dribble. {jacked from Stephen A's blog}.(stephen a's rants)

Congrats to The Celtics

Creatiff Tidbits

My Weekend

Hey Party Peeps,

My weekend was fulfilling.

Saturday, I had a busy day. I attended a video shoot for my friend Chaz, an exciting R&B, male vocalist that's scheduled to hit the music scene in the coming months. I hope to have images from his shoot soon, along with music.

Speaking of exciting R&B male vocalist. Eric Benet performed at the birthday bash for radio station KJLH's, Andre' Russell and Kevin Nash on Saturday night. The amazingly FIIINE, Eric Benet is back with a sexier than ever new look, sans the dreads and twisties. I don't recall ever in my lifetime asking a man what his secret is to staying gorgeous; a woman needs to know. I'll post his answer in my review as well....stay tuned.

Lakers

When I get word my Pastor will be out of town and will miss Sunday morning service, I sometimes go church visiting, or church hoppin' as some of the Saints in God in Christ of the Missionary Baptist Methodist Church of the 2nd Jurisdiction of Mt. Zion like to say. How about the church I visited this past Sunday, the pastor who gave the benediction, closed out with a prayer of covering for the Lakers. LOL!!! I mean, we had our heads bowed down "thanking Jesus" asking for travelling grace and all of a sudden the pastor said, "Lord, if it's your will for the Lakers to win, let them win." He continued on with victory prayer requests for the Lakers, by then I was in LOL mode. Now during the actual game, my mom started praying for them too . She was like, "Lord, please let the Lakers make all of the baskets and allow Boston to miss all of the baskets". My mom playfully got frustrated with me and left the room because I wasn't overly excited as she was, so she tells me, "I'm gonna go watch this game with your dad and nephews, because the Lord says, "where 2 or more are gathered in my name...... I'm like, lady. I'm saving my prayers for Barack and the upcoming Presidential election. :)

R. Kelly

I hope the man on the tape gets caught eventually. I know the focus was on it being R. Kelly, well, since he was acquitted maybe the person on the tape will be found. Maybe someone will come forth with information concerning the identity of the man on the tape.

Obama Encourages Fathers to "Step Up"

CHICAGO (June 15) - Barack Obama celebrated Father's Day by calling on black fathers, who he said are "missing from too many lives and too many homes," to become active in raising their children.

"They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it," the Democratic presidential candidate said Sunday at a largely black church in his hometown.

R. Kelly Verdict In- NOT GUILTY

CHICAGO - A jury acquitted R. Kelly on all counts of child pornography after less than a day of deliberations Friday, ending an ordeal for the R&B superstar that began when he was charged six years ago.
The Grammy award-winning singer dabbed his face with a handkerchief and hugged each of his four attorneys after the verdict was read. The singer had faced 15 years in prison if convicted.

It's Been A Long Time...The Obama's, Lakers, Prince, Michael & Madonna

Hey Party People! It's truly been a long time, I shouldn't have left ya! Well, I have no excuse other than to say, my computer has been giving me the blues and I've almost had to commit damage to get it up and running again....ala the dude on You Tube who destroyed his MAC because it was acting retarded.

Well, I think I'm back!!

A lot of action and newsworthy events have occured since my previous blog posts.

Congrats Senator

First, I have to make sure my blog is posted with congrats to Senator Obama for securing the Democratic Nomination. Since 1992, (the first election year I voted in), I've been secretly obsessed with politics, but this marathon Democratic debate just sent me over the top with knowledge and perspective. I'm living and breathing this political stuff; who knows what's gonna happen if I start to love it as much as I love music.

Congresswoman Tiffany, hmmmm.

Hey, don't laugh. I ran for Commissioner of School Spirit in 8th grade, didn't secure the position but I had total support of the 4th graders, they believed in me. They made posters with my name sprinkled in glitter using my campaign slogan, "If you want your school to have Soul, vote for Tiffany Nicole". They were sold on my promise to have dance and double dutch contests during the lunch break. I too was a bit nervy like Barack, in that I was new to the school and had the nerve to come out the wood and run for something...I lost to this girl named Murleda but learned Intro to Politics at age 12, and now I'm obsessed.

Shout out to those 4th graders who supported me.

Lakers

Congrats to the Purple & Gold for winning game 3 of the NBA Finals. Mmmkay, The Series, not the results people were expecting...guess we'll just have to stay tuned. I've been a Lakers fan since '84 (I have an email address to prove it) but I've certainly found a way to remove the emotion from the support I have for them. They're not gon' have me checkin' into emergency and re-arranging weave tracks...uhh uunnn, no way. I have the hardest time tryna get a hair appointment as is.

Prince

His purple badness turned 50 on June 7th. Lots of fly people are turning 50 this year. Madonna (Aug 16) and the King of Pop (Aug 29) will also celebrate their 50th this year. Happy Bday to you all. Truly special people who changed the landscape of musical expression. How can I be down?

CREATIFF FASHIONS: La'Tik Boutique

owners: Marcellus Wiley & Tiki Harrell

Last Thursday I attended the Divas, Drinks and Discount fashion soiree held in Santa Monica at La'Tik Boutque.

Boutique owners, Tiki Harrell along with her brother, former NFLer and current ESPN analyst, Marcellus "Dat Dude" Wiley hosted the event for the ladies. :)

La'Tik, a women's fashion boutique with unique pieces designed to bring a woman to tears. Ladies, ladies, ladies....the purses. Geez-us! At every corner of the store, I kept hearing purses call my name. A fierce purse game, indeed. I was looking for Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte because easily a scene from "Sex and The City" could've been filmed there. Also housed in the boutique is a fabulous private loft area, where guests on that night were able to watch the Lakers lose game 1 to the Celtics.

For those who have "gone green", her store even carries an Eco-Friendly line as well.

Visit La'Tik in person at 416 Broadway-Santa Monica, CA., "a hop, skip & a sashay" from 3rd Street Promenade.
or visit online at:

Fam and friends: just a reminder, my bday is in November

CREATIFF FINE-SS: Boston Celtics' Eddie House

Amen for CREATIFF FINE-SS. I just wanted to acknowledge the fine-ss of Boston Celtics', Eddie House. I remember thinking he was a cutey when he played for the Suns a few years back but his cuteness in Tuesday night's game was a bit distracting. At first I wasn't going to post a photo of him because the ones I found during my Google search did not support my claim of his fine-ss. I kinda sorta found one that does him some justice; an old one, but he still looks like a cutey (minus all the artwork he's displaying on his body). To get the full on version of his fine-ss in his Green & White uniform, tune into Game 4 of the NBA Finals Tonight. Look for #50.

CREATIFF QUOTE: Usher

"I'm a guy that decided to marry a woman -- a black woman -- that wasn't perfect, that had flaws, that through all in all, she's been successful on her own. ... and that's a bad thing. I decided to marry this woman, then I decide to be a father to my child," he says with a laugh. "And that's a bad thing. It's not like I got caught with a gram of coke in my car or speeding or was caught for murder, so why would I be ridiculed, that's why I don't understand -- that's the part that is mind boggling. Why would I be ridiculed for that, even a year later." --Usher- on being ridiculed for loving his wife. CNN.com/Entertainment.

Tiffany: (I don't understand either) Kudos to Usher and Tameka for fighting for their love. Ooo wee, I pray for these two. I am a cheerleader for commitment and marriage, major positive energy toward the two of them.

Again, Usher, thanks for showing your love for the woman-YOU selected to spend your life with.
